In Exodus 20:3-5, God enjoined the Israelites to not follow the rampant theism (idolatry) of the pagan world, that is, to hold to atheism.
Etymologically, atheism does not evoke or imply unbelief nor existence or inexistence as the blinded and misguided ones claim.
There is a Greek word for unbelief. There is a Greek word for unbelief in a pagan god. There is no Greek word which can denote unbelief in the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Moses because Jesus God (El, Elohim) is not a Greek theos (god) which comes to be from the imagination of men.
The El, Elohim, God of the Israelites comes NOT from the imagination of any man. El, unlike theos, manifests Himself and even incarnated.
El, Elohim is known as 'theos' in Greek because the language lacks a better word to differentiate between the El, Elohim who reveals Himself live and the god (theos) which emanates from the imagination of men.
The Greek New Testament calls the one who does not believe 'apistos', not 'atheos'. Therefore, from the point of view of Jesus God, the misguided secular atheist is an apistheist (without faith in god) or an apistist.
The 'atheos' is open to believe in Jesus God, according to Ephesians 2:12, unlike the 'apistos'. Revelation 14 wants the world to know to not become theists (worship the beast and his image) but atheists who worship only Jesus God and to not take the mark of the beast.
The 'apistos' will not make it to the new world, according to Revelation 21:8.
ATHEISM SIMPLY MEANS 'WITHOUT GOD': ATHEIST
APISTISM MEANS 'WITHOUT BELIEF': APISTIST
APISTHEISM MEANS 'WITHOUT BELIEF IN GOD': APISTHEIST
BELIEF = FAITH = TRUST = LOYALTY = GUARANTEE = PERSUASION
